“Grand Parasols”?
The word “parasol” traditionally refers to a light umbrella designed for sun protection – often movable, collapsible, and covered with an opaque, monochromatic fabric.
You see them everywhere: by pools, in cafés, on terraces. They serve a purpose, offering shade in a simple and effective way.
But there’s a reason outdoor spaces often look so similar. Standard parasols, despite their practicality, create uniform environments, even in places with remarkable architecture and breathtaking landscapes.
Beyond the Ordinary
At ALTA LUMA, we call our structures Grand Parasols because they go far beyond the conventional parasol experience:
