Why ALTA LUMA Exists
ALTA LUMA was born from the desire to elevate outdoor living beyond utility.
In a world filled with standardization, mass-production and sameness, ALTA LUMA offers a different character — one providing a presence that honors light, the uniqueness of each place, and architectural integrity.
Standard solutions repeat. We respond.
ALTA LUMA offers a composed system of canopy forms – each chosen to align with the spirit of a place, whether shaped by wild landscape or crafted architecture.
Why is ALTA LUMA simply Different
Most canopies cast shade. Ours create space.
We believe light is not just a condition — it is a presence. Specially when light is cast by a shadow.
We shape canopies not to impose, but to converse with their surroundings — amplifying spaciousness, elegance, and the unique genius loci of each site.
No two locations are the same.
ALTA LUMA offers a range of canopy designs and structures – so each installation can respond precisely to its setting, from city courtyards to open wilderness.
Heritage — Under the Pines of imperial Rome
The motivation for ALTA LUMA emerged while wandering amongst the ruins of imperial Rome and admiring the serene and yet charismatic presence of the tall pines, their intemporal dialogue with the millenary heritage, observing how daylight filtered through branches, casting soft patterns over ancient stone.
This experience— became our compass.
ALTA LUMA designs are grounded in this moment: a fusion of nature, structure and time.

Most canopies, like standard parasols, cast solid, dark shadows that can make the spaces underneath feel bland or even unappealing.

SIGNATURE DAYLIGHT AND SHADOW
ALTA LUMA’s daylight canopies filter sunlight without closing the sky.
Their open structure brings shadow without heaviness – making spaces feel brighter, larger, and more alive, while offering cool, gentle comfort beneath.
Most solar canopies cast solid dark shadows with a large format and sit upon massive supports that are hard to fit in many outdoor settings.

SIGNATURE LANDSCAPE INTEGRATED PHOTOVOLTAICS
Solar, without the visual noise.
With refined proportions and sculptural form, ALTA LUMA canopies quietly integrate solar modules – masking technology within structures made to belong.
A Value Investment in Singular Places
Distinctive landscapes and estates deserve outdoor structures that preserve their identity – not dilute it.
The careful integration of parasols, pavilions, or solar elements can elevate more than aesthetics: it enhances real-estate value, improves operational autonomy, and supports quality of life through comfort, elegance, and spatial clarity.
ALTA LUMA is not an accessory – it’s an architectural asset.
